Red Lake District

The High-Grade Gold Capital of the World

Why Red Lake is the ‘High-Grade Gold Capital of the World’

More than 2.7 billion years ago, before life existed on this planet, intense heat and pressure from the Earth’s mantle caused massive tectonic upheaval. Rivers of fluids and gasses flowed upwards, depositing gold where the Earth’s crust had cracked and collided, creating one of the richest gold deposits in the entire world. Right here, in Red Lake, Canada.

More than 30 million ounces of high-grade gold have already been produced here in the Red Lake Gold District, including 2.5 million ounces right here, at the original mg游戏手机App mine.1,2

More than 25 million ounces of high-grade gold were produced right next door to mg游戏手机App at the Red Lake Mine. The discovery of the Goldcorp High Grade Zone, located between 1300 – 2500 metres underground, resulted in an exponential increase in gold and transformative growth for the company.2

By comparison, mg游戏手机App has yet to significantly expand its exploration drilling program to depths below one kilometre. Our immediate focus is on dramatically increasing the size and scale of the high-grade gold system along our 7-kilometre-long Gold Corridor.

We believe we’ve only barely scratched the surface, and that mg游戏手机App is on its way to becoming Canada’s next iconic gold producer.

The Red Lake area benefits from a century of exploration and underground mining. All necessary regional infrastructure is in place. A provincial highway runs through the area. It is connected to the grid. A multi-generational, deep pool of experienced miners have made Red Lake their home. This is a place where Tier One companies are born and bred.
